Ingonish Lobster Tales and Scales - Boat Tours


 

A unique tour experience takes you aboard a 35 foot lobster boat, Eaton's Doll to haul lobster traps, jig mackerel, view live lobsters, and see marine life around Ingonish Island. Learn about the local fishing industry and what fishermen are doing to conserve it.


Come experience lobster fishing first hand with Captain Buchanan who has over thirty years of lobster fishing experience. Haul a lobster trap and learn what fishermen are doing to conserve their industry. Try your hand at jigging mackerel. You might even get a glimpse of the local inhabitants of Ingonish Island, home to grey seals.   Find out the truth behind the myth that lobsters live forever. Get your picture taken with a lobster!


Vessel departs daily from the dock at Wharf Road, Ingonish.


Departure Times:  10:00am, 2:00pm and 5:00pm

Rates: Adults: $40, Youth (6-16)$20, 5 and under-Free


The boat can be chartered for private events
