You have asked and we have listened. We are so excited to announce that we are finally going to start offering soap making and gelato making work shops for anyone who would be interested. Our first ones will be held right here at Groovy Goat on Friday March 15 and Saturday March 16.

On Saturday March 16 we will be hosting our first soap making work shop in our new store! We are SO excited and can’t wait to see you! We will have 6 spots available for this fun evening. It will include a minimum of $60 worth of soap that you get to hand craft and take home afterwards, as well as the education and humor that goes along with Ryan teaching you the basics of soap making.

You will get to choose your scent (if desired) and additives such as exfoliants. Spots are limited and are first come first serve. The cost of the work shop is $175 per person and is booked on a per person rate. Payment is due at time of booking and refunds will not be given to no shows as will likely have a waiting list of people wanting to attend.

If you’d prefer to read a printed copy of the documents “Draft Municipal Planning Strategy” and/or “Draft Land Use By-law” for the Plan Victoria County project, these two draft documents are available at the Victoria County Municipal Building in Baddeck at 495 Chebucto Street.

As these are large documents, please make an appointment by contacting Steff MacLeod at Steff.MacLeod@victoriacounty.ca or by calling 902-295-3659.

If you choose to read these documents online, where you can view fact sheets and summary information on topics such as agriculture, housing, environment, recreation, and tourism, they are available at www.planvictoria.ca.

“Plan Victoria County” is part of a larger project called “Plan Eastern Nova” which is a joint effort between the respective municipalities of the counties of Antigonish, Inverness, Richmond, and Victoria to establish municipal planning strategies and land use by-laws for each municipality. It is overseen by the Eastern District Planning Commission (EDPC).

The engagement period is open until March 31, 2024.
