North of Smokey Pink Society (Pinkalicious) Online Auction Fundraiser

Dear Community Members and Businesses,

We have good news: Pinkalicious (North of Smokey Pink Society) is back! Pinkalicious was originally established in 2012 by Mary Lefriend and Michelle LeBlanc. It started as a small event to spread breast cancer awareness, and to raise money to help those in our community fighting cancer at the time. Pinkalicious continued to take off, evolve and grow. The hard work and dedication of the Pinkalicious volunteers, combined with the very generous spirit of businesses and community members over the years were remarkable! An impressive amount of money was raised and donated to support North of Smokey community members facing medical needs.

We are so grateful for past Pinkalicious volunteers! Our goal is to continue the great work they accomplished in helping others. Once again, we ask for support and know the generous community spirit will shine on. We are a registered non-profit, and our mission is to give confidential monetary donations to people living North of Smokey who are facing medical needs/serious illness. We are isolated and having to travel for treatment and medical appointments can add to an already difficult and stressful situation.

Our main fundraiser is an online auction coming up in July. The Auction will begin on Friday, July 12th at 7:00 PM and ends on Sunday, July 14th at 7:00 PM. We are reaching out asking for auction donations. No donations are ever too small, every bit helps and any support is greatly appreciated! If you would prefer to make a monetary donation instead, please send an email transfer to pinkaliciousgroup@gmail.com or cheques/cash can be delivered to board members. The donor and successful bidder must arrange to get the auction items directly for any seafood donations, baked goods, or other food items. The person who won the food item(s) will get a certificate with contact information to arrange pick up. Committee members will not transport or store food due to refrigeration/space issues. 

An online auction takes a lot of time and organization, we kindly ask that all donations be passed in ASAP and by the deadline of, Monday, July 1st.
